5-Minute Thermal Disinfection Control Test

STERIM® DES Control thermal disinfection test strips are universal and compatible with various types of automatic washer-disinfectors. However, it is important to select the appropriate test for the thermal disinfection program used during the operation of the device.

The chemical on the DES Control thermal disinfection test is in the form of a circle. The indicator should be placed on the instrument tray at a critical point. Proper process parameters (maintaining 90°C for 5 minutes) are indicated by the chemical changing color to black.

After the check, thermal disinfection control tests should be archived. The adhesive layer on the test strip facilitates placement in documentation.
