Color Blade Covers for Instruments
Silicone covers for medical instrument blades are essential for protecting paper or paper-plastic sterilization packages from punctures (which could lead to contamination of the sterilized contents). The covers also prevent accidental cuts for personnel handling sterilization, transport, arranging, or preparing instruments for use. Additionally, they effectively protect instruments from mechanical damage that could occur during washing and sterilization.
The covers are made of silicone and come in 9 variants differing in size and shape. Each variant has a distinct color, making it easier to identify protected instruments and locate lost covers.
Special perforations in the silicone facilitate penetration of cleaning agents and sterilizing agents. The holes in the cover also allow for quick moisture removal during the sterilization cycle.
Advantages of STERIM Silicone Color Covers:
- effective protection against instrument damage during washing and sterilization,
- minimizes the risk of losing package sterility due to punctures by instrument blades,
- 9 size variants with color coding for easy instrument identification,
- easy location of lost covers.
