The personal data of Customers of the STERIM.eu Online Store operating at https://sterim.eu are processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

3. Types of personal data processed in the STERIM.eu Online Store
The controller processes your personal data as Customers of the STERIM.eu Online Store. The processed data include personal data provided by you as well as data available in publicly accessible registers or other registers maintained by public administration authorities.
The processed data include, in particular, data provided by you in the Order form, registration form when creating an Account in the Online Store, when changing data in the Account, when subscribing to the Newsletter, in a submitted withdrawal from the Sales Agreement or complaint, in a complaint form, or in any message or correspondence, including in particular:
- first and last name,
- company name – in the case of Customers who are not Consumers,
- address,
- e-mail address,
- phone number,
- tax identification number (NIP) – in the case of Customers who are not Consumers or in connection with issuing a VAT invoice,
- bank account number used to pay for the Order or to which a refund will be made,
as well as data related to your activities, such as placing an Order, paying for an Order, submitting a complaint, withdrawing from a Sales Agreement, terminating an agreement for the provision of electronic services, activity in the Online Store (e.g. viewed Products, IP addresses, Cookies data).
4. Purpose of data collection, legal basis for processing and data retention period
Your personal data are processed for the purpose of:
a) taking actions at your request prior to concluding an agreement (e.g. informing about Product availability) – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – for the time necessary to perform these actions,
b) concluding and performing an agreement (e.g. registering a Customer in the Online Store, creating an Account, fulfilling an Order, verifying payments) – Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – for the time necessary to perform the agreement,
c) fulfilling a legal obligation incumbent on the controller – Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – for the duration of such obligations and statutory retention periods,
d) pursuing the controller’s legitimate interests related to claims and defense against claims – Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – until the limitation period expires,
e) pursuing the controller’s legitimate interests related to direct marketing – Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – for the duration of the agreement until its completion,
f) taking other actions based on your consent (e.g. processing data after contract completion, sending a Newsletter) – until consent is withdrawn – Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
5. Recipients of personal data
Your personal data may be transferred to:
a) employees and collaborators of the controller involved in achieving the purposes indicated above,
b) entities processing data on behalf of the controller or other controllers, including in particular:
- IT service providers, hosting providers, providers of newsletter, SMS and chat systems,
- legal, accounting and tax advisory service providers,
- courier, postal and transport service providers,
- shipment insurance providers,
- payment service providers.
Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations.

You have the following rights related to the processing of your personal data:
a) the right to access your personal data,
b) the right to rectify your personal data,
c) the right to erase your personal data,
d) the right to restrict processing,
e) the right to data portability,
f) the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal,
g) the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office,
h) the right to object at any time:
- to processing for marketing purposes, including profiling,
- to processing based on the controller’s legitimate interests, for reasons related to your particular situation.
7. Voluntary provision of personal data
Providing personal data is voluntary but necessary to conclude and perform an agreement. Failure to provide data may result in the inability to perform the agreement or contact you regarding its execution.
8. Profiling
Your data may be processed in an automated manner, including profiling, in order to assess your preferences and prepare tailored offers:
a) before concluding an agreement – based on your separate consent,
b) during the term of the agreement – until its completion,
c) after completion – based on your separate consent.
9. Cookies
Cookies are small text files sent by websites and stored on your device. They enable identification, account handling, cart memory, form completion, statistics and improvement of Online Store functionality. Cookies are safe and do not allow access to other files or malware installation.
