Type 6 Chemical Indicators for Steam Sterilization

Type 6 tests verify whether the critical parameters required for sterilization have been met. STERIM® Emulator 6 EMS6-515 indicators can be used in steam sterilizers of all manufacturers, regardless of chamber size. They are also compatible with the PCD Control test device.

Type 6 test strip should be placed inside the sterilization package (or a validation pack or the PCD Control device). After the sterilization cycle, check the color of the test substance in the circular field. A color change from pink to black confirms that the required sterilization parameters were achieved. The strip features an adhesive backing for easy placement in documentation.

Available for use at 134°C for 5 minutes or 121°C for 15 minutes.
