Ampoule Biological Tests for Plasma Sterilization

Ampoule biological indicators for plasma provide clear confirmation of sterilization effectiveness. VH2O2 plasma 24h ampoule tests operate on the same principle as other biological indicators. Specially prepared bacterial spores of Geobacillus stearothermophilus are sterilized together with medical instruments, followed by incubation in nutrient media at elevated temperature. Growth of bacteria in the ampoule indicates sterilization failure.

Sterim® VH2O2 plasma 24h ampoule tests require a short incubation period. Test results, confirming sterilization efficacy, can be read after just 24 hours. An additional advantage is the prefilled nutrient medium in the ampoule inside the test tube, eliminating the need to prepare media after sterilization – simply crush the ampoule to release the medium.
