Type 5 Chemical Indicators for Steam Sterilization
Monitoring with a Type 5 indicator allows reliable assessment of sterilizer conditions, including steam quality, exposure time, and steam penetration to all packages.
Type 5 test strip should be placed inside the package intended for sterilization. After the cycle, check the color of the test field on the strip. A color change from pink to black confirms that the required sterilization conditions have been met. STERIM® Type 5 sterilization tests include instructions in English and all necessary standard markings.
STERIM® Integrator 5 strips are self-adhesive, making it easy to include them in sterilization process documentation.
Previously known as Class 5 tests, Type 5 sterilization tests from STERIM® help you monitor your sterilization process according to all applicable requirements. They are suitable for temperatures ranging from 121°C to 134°C.
