Helix PCD Test with Type 6 indicators designed for sterilization at 134°C for 7 minutes and 121°C for 20 minutes. The indicator reaction time in the Helix test is controlled by a precisely formulated, non-toxic chemical composition, free from lead and other heavy metals.

The Type 6 test should be placed inside the transparent capsule of the Helix PCD set. Insert the entire set into the sterilizer chamber among the sterilization packs. After completing the sterilization process, remove the Helix set and assess the color change of the indicator. A properly performed steam sterilization process should turn the test from light blue to black/graphite. The reference color is the "DARK" inscription on the test.
