24h Ampoule Biological Indicators for Steam Sterilization Spor View® STEAM BI

The biological indicator in 24h ampoule tests Spor View® contains Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores inoculated on a paper disc inside the tube. The spore culture medium is contained in a glass ampoule within the tube. The ampoule must be crushed before the incubation process, which should be conducted at 55-60°C for 24 hours.

If the sterilization process is successful, the culture medium color should remain unchanged after incubation. If the process is ineffective, the spores survive, and the medium changes color from purple to yellow.

The test also features a type 1 steam sterilization indicator label that changes color from blue to black when exposed to the sterilizing agent.
