Type 6 Chemical Indicators for Steam Sterilization

STERIM® Emulator 6 can be used in all steam sterilizers, regardless of chamber size. The indicator should be placed inside the packaging of the load prepared for sterilization or in a validation pack. The Type 6 test strip can also be placed in a PCD Control device. During sterilization, the test substance on the strip should change color from pink to black.

After the sterilization process, the Type 6 test should be archived in the documentation. The adhesive layer allows easy placement of the strip in a record book.

Type 6 tests are available for use at 134°C for 7 minutes and 121°C for 20 minutes.
